Disaster Assistance Response Training (for Superyachts)

3 Day Yacht Training

Intent: As part of the First Response Fleet (FRF) program, we will provide a free three day Disaster Assistance Response Training (DART) course to our FRF Superyachts to prepare their crews for what they can expect in disaster zones in anticipation of their participation in future relief efforts. The intent of this course is not to transform yacht crews into disaster relief professionals, but rather to provide sufficient tools to them so that they may better prepare their vessels and themselves so that they may enter into such operations with greater confidence and a deeper understanding of what disaster operations entail.

Concept: The course will be taught as a running scenario. DART is embarking the vessel in transit to the disaster sight. The vessel will be in transit Day 1. At noon of Day 2 the vessel will enter port to clear customs and embark relief supplies and gear, enabling us to do “last touch” training prior to getting u/w. The vessel will arrive at the disaster sight the morning of Day 3 and commence disaster operations.

Trainers: The professional DART training team (4 trainers) consists of some of the leading professionals in each area of training (security, logistics, medical, psychological, operational) who are very familiar with the unique concerns, needs and demands of working with (and training) a Superyacht (owner, captain and crew). We are happy to provide you with a detailed overview and CV of our trainers (please contact our DART Team Leader!).
